The Good Ol Days

In 1984 contracts were sent in the mail. To get both parties signed was a long two-to-three week turnaround. Now, thanks to technology, it can be done within 24 hours.

Finance was once approved by local bank manager in one day. Now can take 14 to 30 days to get a home loan.

In 1984 you could get a planning permit approved for local council in less than two weeks – quite often you had a chat to the two friendly receptionists at the counter and it was all processed before you left. Now a planning permit approval can take months.

Technology and systems can speed up a lot of what we do, but gone are the days of a friendly face at a counter making things happen.
